Acting - crappy, but after thinking about it, real people don't dramatize shit like actors do. Some lines were cheezy, but it didn't take away from the movie. Story - good and bad.

The good- showing that people that fight on behalf of our country are guys with families and when they don't come back, they are not the only victims. Spoilers bellow. The bad - the main plot was absolute garbage. The main bad guys are two Ukranian Jews, one of whom converted to Islam and is now with the Chechen Jihadists. Their moitivations are never discussed and this part of the story is not even paper thin. They use Filipino suicide bombers that are shuffled through Africa and Mexico to get them into the US.

Not once does the film show any involvement from any actual enemies of the West. I don't think the name of Al Qaida is mentioned once. Bottom line is that the main plot was politically correct pile of steaming shit, meant to not offend those that are actually trying to kill Americans.

One does not simply drive an ice cream truck into ISM. Quoted: Quoted: Senior Chief was hilarious Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Senior Chief was hilarious Glad to hear it is good and they did a good job making it I was worried Can't wait to see it this weekend!

Saw it. I think they should have told the SEALs "this is the situation, this is the information that must be relayed to the audience to further the plot-be yourselves and have this conversation And, unless the teams are different than the infantry, enlisted taking the piss out of a PL is MUCH funnier than some contrived comment about a haircut.

Seriously, they made the SEALs look wooden. Overused, overdone, and lazy to me. I would love to see this movie, with everything the same, except directed by Ridley Scott. Not a BAD movie, just meh. Rest in peace. Quoted: My wife and I just saw it. Lots of guys with proper haircuts in the theater. Loved it. Quoted: Look forward to it being released on DVD. Quoted: Saw it twice to properly digest.

Quoted: Chechen jihadists and extremists from the Philippines fit the mold of the Islamic extremists we're fighting.

I don't see how that's "politically correct". Just got back from seeing it again. My cousin who is navy works with those guys and says they are some of the best badasss hes ever seen. The newer of the 2 dumptrucks changes from a n International to a Freightliner late in the scene.

Com Mobile. Quoted: Just got back from seeing it again. Did they just call The Hurt Locker "nuanced"? Fucking idiots. IMHO the whole Tecumseh poem was bad ass. The internal monologue of the letter was amazing.

No but she is currently working on the movie version of the Seal Team that killed Osama. Wondering myself, especially when he was asked to walk away for a moment at the beach campfire scene. These are guys who have to make tough life and death choices every day, not which starbucks to get a latte from.

Great film. I was close to sweating in the contact scenes. Very intense. If you dont get misty at any time during this movie, you are a communist. Simple as that. I must be a communist. I wasn't impressed, I didn't get misty eyed Let's see Blackhawk Down with actors playing operators, vs.

Act of Valor: operators trying to act. Blackhawk Down smoked this film. I even told my wife I thought I was watching a military version of Pure Country. I wasn't impressed, and disappointed all the hype it had only to fall flat.

If you go for the entertainment value, save the money and pick a better film. Totally agree. I was admittedly wrecked from swimming but I fell aslep twice. I need to see it again. In response to your spoiler: I wonder why we've had special forces soldiers there for the last decade combating muslim extremists in the jungle then? Every time someone talked I expected some chick to bust out and get DP'd, the acting was about the same level as a porno.

Something that really irked me was they all used their visible lasers on their PEQs instead of showing how awesome the world looks through NODs when everyone is using their IR lasers. These two are good buddies during downtime in San Diego, and Dave, already a father, loses no opportunity to gently tease Rorke about his impending fatherhood.

Her exciting rescue is only the start for the team, who discover that the drug dealer has a connection to the dread Abdul Shabal Jason Cottle , a terrorist so ruthless and menacing he intimidates other evildoers.

The valor and sacrifice exhibited will bring a sense of patriotism to the audience members, and certainly appreciation for what our service members do as well. Posted by Mary Jean Hall. Like to share?
