Reason I'm writing here is that I worked this morning from a vivid dream in which I was 13 and listening to Everday With You Girl so clearly playing I, like many, have memories flooding in, with people that I have loved , whenever I hear your music, Dennis, and the other guys in the band.
I miss those times. I miss that music. It's wonderful to be able to hear it again and see your performances on YouTube and such. There are some voices that cannot be replicated. After the song ended, I thought I'd check out to see when Dennis and the boys were doing now. What a shock when I read that Dennis had sadly passed away in Dec More so when I discovered he had suffered a severe brain injury 3 years earlier. It saddens me today to learn this. I also was born on July 20, I will be 75 this coming July I played in a Band here in Monteagle, Tennessee beginning in High School and continuing until age I had an 8-Track Tape of Dennis singing all his hits and I played it constantly.
Our Band did "Spooky" and "Traces of Love" on an every night rotation. I never knew about his fall but am sad and feel for Linda Yost. Dennis had a sound that was so relaxing and nice to just sit and listen to. So sorry for his entire family. I wonder if he had any Children? I was a huge fan of this group and thought Dennis had one of the greatest voices of our time. I saw him once in Midway of the Mississippi state fair. When i saw him walking i spoke to him and he stopped and talked to me for about 5 minutes.
